Job Opportunity

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated female Care Assistant to provide support to an individual with a learning disability and Fragile X Syndrome. Candidates with driving capabilities are preferred, and the ability to swim is essential.

Available Hours: Both part-time and full-time positions are offered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering prescribed medications
  • Facilitating community engagement and activities, including day trips
  • Attending concerts and theatrical performances
  • Providing assistance during swimming sessions
  • Offering support and guidance with personal care tasks
  • Ensuring adherence to daily routines
  • Meal preparation
  • Engaging in arts and crafts activities
  • Participating in baking sessions
  • Conducting educational activities involving letters and numbers
  • Encouraging singing and musical activities

Desired Attributes:

  • An enthusiastic individual with a good sense of humor, capable of creating enjoyable experiences.
  • A calm and patient demeanor, with strong communication skills and respect for the individual's home and belongings.
  • Previous experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities is a requirement.

Additional Information:

All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references. Due to the nature of the role, we are specifically looking for female applicants, as permitted under the Equality Act, Schedule 9, Part 1.
