Who we are looking for: We are seeking a dedicated female Care Assistant to provide support to an individual with a learning disability and Fragile X Syndrome. A driving license is preferred, and the ability to swim is essential.

Available Hours: Both part-time and full-time positions are offered.

Support Responsibilities:

  • Administering prescribed medications
  • Facilitating community engagement and activities, including day trips
  • Attending concerts and theatrical performances
  • Providing full support during swimming activities
  • Assisting with personal care tasks
  • Maintaining daily routines
  • Meal preparation
  • Engaging in arts and crafts
  • Participating in baking activities
  • Conducting educational activities involving letters and numbers
  • Encouraging singing and musical activities

Desired Personality Traits:

  • An energetic individual with a good sense of humor who can creatively make each day enjoyable. Patience and a calm demeanor are essential.
  • Strong communication skills and respect for the individual’s home and belongings are crucial.
  • Experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities is a requirement.

*All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references. Due to the nature of this role, we are specifically looking for female applicants. This position is exempt under the Equality Act, Schedule 9, Part 1.
