About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Photo Editor to join our team in London, UK. As a key member of our Editorial team, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of high-quality photographic content for our European football clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination services to a Digital Image Manager to meet the clients' photographic needs
  • Coordinate with external client Picture Desk to assist with editorial deliverables
  • Briefing editors for each shift on stakeholder deliverables
  • Training editors regarding new tools, services, or new deliverables
  • Assist with the photography delivery for European football competitions and events
  • Coordinate stakeholder requirements for the creation of briefs for photographers
  • Assist with photographers' assignments and work either on-site or remotely
  • Consulting editorial teams, colleagues, and partners about available image content
  • Coordinate the delivery of digital assets to stakeholders, internal and external
  • Create new users and assign roles and permissions based on requirements
  • Ensure tagging principles are followed on all assets and ensure that metadata meets client requirements
  • Update and enhance metadata where required
  • Train integrated AI tools consistently
  • Coordinate the production of graphics and logos in line with client standards
  • Oversee the shared mailbox and answer all digital library-related service queries
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships within clients and Getty Images editorial team
  • Manages logistic arrangements in deploying photographers to events and photo shoots
  • Ensures that all clients are covered accordingly and business targets are met each month
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the editorial photography industry
  • Keen awareness of European Football
  • Keen picture judgement, advanced knowledge, and experience with industry-standard editing tools
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with industry-standard editing tools, Adobe Photoshop, and Digital Asset Management (DAM) software
  • Ability and desire to work flexible, non-traditional hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment accurately, while maintaining thorough attention to detail

  • Relevant Degree preferred
  • An additional language is advantageous, however not essential
