Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday: 6:30am-5:30pm

Multiple positions available.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join our client's growing team in the food manufacturing sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanical and electrical engineering professional looking to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

The role will involve taking ownership of commissioning/installation of new plant machinery across various projects within the factory. You will utilise your technical expertise to ensure proper maintenance and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of all engineering assets within your jurisdiction.
  • Maintain various machines, including a Tetra-Pack filling machine, spiral freezer, and ovens.
  • Lead all engineering efforts necessary for technical audits.
  • Stay informed about innovations and improvements in the FMCG sector.
  • Ensure project delivery complies with health and safety legislation.
  • Provide supporting documentation for projects in line with best practices.
Requirements:
  1. Recognized qualifications in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering (minimum City & Guilds).
  2. Ideal 4-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of engineering legislative requirements in a manufacturing context, including risk management and assessments.
  4. Strong project management skills and health & safety knowledge; NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications are preferred.
  5. Extensive understanding of engineering standards.
