**Animal Rehoming and Enrichment Officer Role**
We are seeking an experienced Animal Rehoming and Enrichment Officer to join our team at Cats Protection in York. This exciting role involves caring for cats in our rehoming centre, ensuring their welfare needs are met and providing enrichment activities to promote their well-being.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Cleaning of cat pens, including litter trays, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for the cats.
- Feeding and caring for cats requiring additional medical or behavioural treatment.
- Providing enrichment activities to promote the cats' physical and mental well-being.
**Requirements**
- A full, manual driving license is essential for some driving of centre vans.
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy and customer service skills.
- Experience of animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating and handling cats.
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing situations.
