Job Title: Theatre Practitioner

Job Summary:

KIMS Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated Theatre Practitioner to join our AfPP accredited perioperative team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary Theatres team, you will work within scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery to ensure the highest standard of clinical care and safety for patients within the theatre unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work primarily as a scrub practitioner, with the occasional need to work as an anaesthetic or recovery practitioner (once full training is given if required).
  • Assess and implement patient care requirements and evaluate outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments e.g. Sterile Services, Wards, Imaging Department to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
  • Ensure that patients' comfort, dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that your own practice and the practice of others is within an ethical and legal framework.

Requirements:

  • Be a qualified and registered Practitioner (RN or ODP)
  • Have post-registration clinical experience as a Theatre Practitioner / ODP in an acute hospital (NHS or independent).
  • Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
