Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

The Mechanical Project Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for the successful delivery of mechanical projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage project scopes, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
  2. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring that all mechanical aspects of the project are executed to the highest standard.
  3. Ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  4. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication.
  5. Develop and implement project management plans, including risk management, quality control, and health and safety protocols.
Design and Customer Interaction:
  1. Work closely with clients to understand their mechanical requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  2. Collaborate with internal design teams to ensure that all mechanical designs are accurate, efficient, and meet project requirements.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  4. Ensure that all project documentation, including drawings and reports, is accurate, complete, and meets project requirements.
Health and Safety:
  1. Develop and implement health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all project team members.
  2. Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  3. Collaborate with internal health and safety teams to ensure that all project-related health and safety issues are addressed.
Essential Competence Profile:
  1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer or similar role.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  3. Excellent communication and project management skills.
Desirable:
  1. Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 Engineering or HNC/HND.
  2. CSCS Card and SMSTS certification.

Salary: 35-40K DEO

Hours: Days Monday to Friday
