Job Overview

Modern Networks Ltd seeks an experienced Financial Controller to oversee its financial management, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team.

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated at £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, with additional benefits including comprehensive health insurance, pension plan, and opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, providing insightful commentary on key financial metrics.
  • Development and implementation of accounting procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with external reporting requirements.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, identification of areas for improvement, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Production of audited group consolidated financial statements, meeting regulatory deadlines.
  • Management of financial KPIs, monitoring internal controls, and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Supporting the finance team to ensure a smooth close to month end, fostering a collaborative environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications or equivalent, with strong knowledge of UK reporting standards.
  • Excellent Excel skills, attention to detail, and analytical mindset.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with experience in implementing reporting systems.
  • Strong systems experience, preferably in a practice environment, with a willingness to adapt to new technologies.
