Body Electronics Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Body Electronics Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. This is a long-term contract role that may run for several years.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement cost reduction ideas for electronic components, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
  2. Apply and integrate electrical and electronic components and systems to European vehicles.
  3. Manage and maintain vehicle BOMs.
  4. Capture customer requirements and create high-level specifications.
  5. Coordinate closely with global Alliance R&D centers.
  6. Manage tier 1 suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and timing targets.
  7. Ensure supplier and in-house validation meets client standards.
  8. Create and maintain end-of-line configuration data.
  9. Take on frontline responsibility for plant and market support.
  10. Meet standard KPIs for cost, quality, and timing.
  11. Achieve commitment cost at monitor timing.
  12. Closure of QBASE and G-CAR within company guidelines.
  13. Design release according to agreed date in release schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electronic or electrical engineering.
  2. Proficiency in PC applications such as MS Office.
  3. Knowledge of CAN, CAN tools, and vehicle diagnostics.
  4. Valid driving license.
  5. Demonstrated practical experience of problem-solving tools and techniques.
  6. At least 3 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry.
  7. Knowledge of electrical theory and electronic devices.
  8. Understanding of hardware and software development processes.
  9. Project and supplier management experience.
  10. Ability to travel within the UK and internationally to suppliers, plants, and other global R&D centers.
  11. Excellent communication and project management skills.
  12. Self-motivated and self-managing.

Working Hours and Pay:

  1. Monday to Friday
  2. 39 hours per week
  3. £27.00 per hour
