Lead Care Assistant - Yarnton, Oxfordshire

Floryn House Care Home in Yarnton, Oxfordshire is seeking a skilled Senior Care Assistant to lead our care team and provide exceptional care for our residents.

Job Details:
  • Salary: £13.60 per hour
  • Shift Type: Nightshift

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership: Lead and coordinate the care team to ensure smooth running of the home and create a warm atmosphere.
  2. Resident Support: Assist residents with daily activities, prioritizing dignity and independence.
  3. Medication Management: Oversee medication ordering, administration, and documentation, maintaining accurate records.
  4. Communication: Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members for clear and compassionate communication.
  5. Team Collaboration: Foster a team ethos, respecting diversity and promoting a supportive environment.
  6. Visitor Interaction: Welcome visitors and showcase our facilities.
  7. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, assessing situations and providing assistance as needed.
  8. Documentation: Update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes reflecting residents' needs and wishes.
  9. Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning, taking responsibility for your growth.
  10. Health and Safety: Adhere to Health and Safety policies, including COSHH, and escalate concerns to management.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential. We welcome applications from experienced Care Assistants working towards their Level 3.
  • Medication Training: Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, delegating tasks while maintaining a supportive environment.
  • Compassionate Nature: A kind, caring, and compassionate personality with a sense of fun and commitment to person-centred care.
