Job Title: Team Leader - Care Home

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Team Leader to join our team at Oakdene Care Home. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead with Compassion: Deliver high-quality care and support to residents, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Set the Standard: Maintain high standards of care and service, aligning with our commitment to excellence and resident-centered care.
  • Inspire and Motivate: Supervise, lead, and motivate a team of care assistants, fostering a positive and efficient work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Care Planning: Develop, review, and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
  • Medication Management: Administer medication as per guidelines and protocols, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Monitor and Respond: Regularly observe residents' wellbeing and address any concerns or changes in their condition promptly, providing timely interventions as needed.
  • Foster Communication: Build and maintain effective relationships with team members, residents, and families, ensuring clear and open communication that promotes trust and understanding.
Requirements:
  • Caring Nature: A compassionate and motivated individual dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to residents.
  • Experience: Proven experience supporting older adults, ideally including those with dementia, in a care home or similar setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Confident in leading a care team, with a strong ability to champion the wellbeing of residents and promote a positive work environment.
  • Qualifications: SVQ or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential.
