Job Title: Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Various sites across London and the City

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Salary: £46,000 per annum

Job Overview:

A mobile electrical maintenance technician position is available for a skilled professional to undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, including building fabric, at various sites across London and the City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance, as instructed by the Contract Manager and Account Manager, including full electrical and mechanical PPM and reactive works, minor building repairs, plumbing works, and other general duties in support of the client's requirements.
  • To close and update completed Reactive and PPM tasks on the site PDA computerised maintenance system.
  • To ensure standards of workmanship are maintained to maximise the operation, effectiveness, and reliability of the building and associated systems.
  • To assist specialist subcontractors' requirements for PPM and reactive works.
  • To ensure all site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • To ensure both site and ABM Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • To maintain accurate site records and documentation in association with all site works.
  • To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs and repairs as required and requested by management.
  • To provide regular on-call cover to attend site emergencies outside of normal working hours.
  • To carry out tasks within typical building environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders, with all access and PPE provided.
  • To keep and maintain all ABM issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
  • To comply with ABM Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
  • To complete any other associated tasks requested by management.

Required Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have worked or be currently working in a similar retail or commercial maintenance environment and be familiar with the following equipment:

  • Air Handling Units
  • Emergency lighting
  • L8 requirements
  • Fire Alarm Testing
  • Plumbing
  • Any additional trade qualifications (plumbing, mechanical, or electrical)
  • City and Guilds 236/0 and 2330 Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent
  • 18th Edition IEE
  • L8 Awareness
