Senior Physiotherapist (General In-patient Rehab)

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join the general inpatients therapy team at Kingfisher and Skylark wards at Local Care Centre, Mount Gould Hospital on part-time hours (30 hr per week). This post would suit Band 5's looking to specialise or current Band 6's who would like to broaden their experience.

The successful candidate will be joining a well-established team in delivering physiotherapy service to patients as part of the wider multidisciplinary unit. Applicants would need to have a broad range of experience, including post-graduate experience in the treatment of patients within the medical and surgical specialty.

Main duties of the job
  1. To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to general inpatients on Kingfisher and Skylark wards, working across the trust in a range of settings.
  2. To assist the Team Leaders in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating the Physiotherapy Service provided to patients within the team on a day-to-day basis.
  3. To undertake community/home visits when required.
Person SpecificationKnowledge and Experience
  • Postgraduate demonstrable experience in core rotations: Medical / Surgical / Neurology / Respiratory / Trauma and Orthopaedics / MSK
  • Demonstrable experience of teaching
  • Proven evidence of CPD
  • An awareness of current NHS and Health issues related to rehabilitation
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience of complex MDT working and discharge planning.
  • Clinical educator
  • Demonstrable experience within acute care setting
Qualifications
  • Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
  • Attendance at additional relevant professional courses
  • MSc relevant to the area
