Senior Physiotherapist

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide professional and legal accountability for all aspects of own work, including patient management.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with CSP standards and local/Trust policy.
- Communicate effectively with other disciplines through meetings, reports, and letter writing.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, using advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and deliver individualized physiotherapy treatment programs based on evidence-based practice and treatment options.
- Take delegated responsibility for managing patients with specific conditions and provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment plans.
- Formulate accurate prognoses and recommend the best course of intervention, developing comprehensive management plans.
- Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent.
- Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients/carers, motivating and gaining cooperation.
- Evaluate patient progress, reassess, and alter treatment programs as needed.
- Manage clinical risk within own patient caseload and report incidents and near misses.
