Metals Operations Manager

We're working with a leading international copper mining company to find a talented Metals Operation Executive to join their London team. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in the company's operations, working closely with the CEO and Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the back office hedging and arbitrage logistics, ensuring seamless scheduling, letter of credit management, bank contract execution, and bill of exchange/bills of landing coordination.
- Monitor and execute contracts, addressing client complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage shipping and invoicing documentation, guaranteeing timely document preparation, payment collection, and cargo release activities for metals such as copper, molybdenum, and rhenium.
- Collaborate with clients and counterparties to trial a new commercial platform.
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and Operations Manager.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in commodity trading and/or shipping environments.
- Strong hedging operations background, preferably in copper or metals.
- Expertise in financial matters, including cash flow, accounts receivables/payables, bookings, account reconciliation, monthly closing tasks, and file liquidation.
- Fluency in English and ideally a knowledge of Spanish.
- Located in London, with flexibility to travel as required.
