About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Pharmacist Network. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in supporting patients to get the most from their medicines by undertaking medicine reconciliations and updating patient records.

As a Pharmacy Technician with our organization, you will work closely with the clinical pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to contribute to Structures Medication Reviews (SMRs) and improve patients' safe use of medicines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake medicine reconciliations of patient record/prescribing in line with practice protocols.
  • Update patient records and support medicine reviews and synchronization for groups of patients, care homes, and individuals.
  • Conduct prescribing audits and medicine safety alerts to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 6 months' experience working as a registered pharmacy technician in a clinical setting within general practice.

You should possess a relevant degree/qualification and be registered with the relevant governing body. A highly focused and motivated individual with excellent communication skills is required.

Key Requirements

  • A Level 3 Technician qualification.
  • Experience working within a GP environment or similar healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with System 1 or Emis software would be advantageous but not essential.
