Overview

As a Fiber Optic Installation Specialist at Microsoft Azure Fiber, you will be integral to the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of the Global Optical Network. Your contributions will ensure high-quality, secure, and dependable connectivity for all Microsoft services across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to receive direction for testing activities and meet operational goals during each shift
  • Execute testing procedures according to established specifications
  • Support the validation of manufacturing testing equipment
  • Carry out quality inspections during manufacturing and document results
  • Verify optical fiber specifications and compare measurements against predefined test cases
  • Collect and analyze manufacturing test data to identify defects, issues, and failure rates
  • Maintain daily records of progress and production output

Qualifications

Required:

  • Relevant technical experience or formal education in a technical discipline
  • Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field

Preferred:

  • Extensive technical experience or an Associate's degree in Engineering complemented by practical experience
