**Role Overview**

The London Borough of Newham is seeking a skilled Social Work Practitioner to join our Family Support and Safeguarding Service. This role will involve working closely with families, children, and communities to provide high-quality support and guidance.

As part of our commitment to building a Fairer Newham, we are reimagining the way that we serve the families that we support. Our new service model combines Assessment and Intervention social work services into one streamlined process, enhancing family-led, relational values and improving the overall experience of families, partners, and social workers.

We are looking for experienced, committed, relational social workers who are passionate about tackling disproportionality and building a Fairer Newham. You will have a genuine interest in restorative, relationship-based practice models and drawing on systemic thinking to inform your approach to building effective relationships with children, families, and communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the evolution of our firmly embedded Circles of Support practice model. You will be responsible for securing the best and safest outcomes for our children and promoting their welfare, potential, and future.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Work collaboratively with families, children, and communities to provide high-quality support and guidance
  • Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to promote positive change and improve outcomes for children and families
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our Family Support and Safeguarding Service model

**Requirements**

  • Degree in Social Work or related field
  • Qualified Social Worker with experience in assessment or long-term work with families
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

**Salary:** £46,442 - £55,574 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
