Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Trainer to join our team at HMP Wealstun. As a Grounds Maintenance Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training to learners, developing their practical and theoretical skills in Grounds Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality vocational training to learners, focusing on practical and theoretical skills in Grounds Maintenance.
  • Work with industry professionals to provide an overview of employment opportunities and develop learners' aspirations.
  • Monitor learners' progress against course criteria and track their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.
Requirements:
  • Service experience in Grounds Maintenance.
  • Flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to track and monitor learners' progress.
  • At least 2 years' experience in the relevant vocational area.
  • Commitment to gaining an Award in Education within 6 months.
  • Commitment to gaining the TAQA assessment qualification within probation.
  • Commitment to gaining a subject-specific qualification to allow training to Level 3 within 2 years.
