Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes. You will work closely with our manufacturing team leaders to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes that drive cost savings and productivity gains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement
    • Review and measure current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement
    • Develop and implement process changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Quality Assurance
    • Measure key business metrics such as product yield and wRMA rate
    • Develop and implement projects to improve quality and efficiency
    • Prepare and present data-driven improvements to stakeholders
  • Lean Six Sigma
    • Champion shop floor Lean/Six Sigma programs and initiatives
    • Establish and implement Six Sigma standards throughout the manufacturing facility
    • Drive compliance and adherence to these standards
  • Process Design
    • Design shop floor layouts to support new product introduction and process re-engineering
    • Determine special purpose and standard tooling requirements
    • Implement process changes as required
  • Documentation
    • Create and maintain manufacturing shop floor documentation
    • Issue documentation as required
  • Vendor Management
    • Support vendor cost, quality, and delivery performance
    • Communicate performance issues to vendors and demonstrate improvements
  • New Product Introduction
    • Ensure effective implementation of new products and engineering changes
    • Productionize and repeatable processes
  • Facilities and Safety
    • Support the manufacturing team leaders and facilities team in delivering a safe and efficient working environment
    • Implement 5S principles
  • Knowledge Sharing
    • Become a process expert for critical business processes and technologies
    • Share knowledge and experience with colleagues
    • Provide training and guidance for other engineers
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in process improvement, quality assurance, and Lean Six Sigma. You will have a degree/HND in Manufacturing and/or Electronics engineering or a relevant equivalent experience.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management System
  • Knowledge of Project Management techniques and experience leading cross-functional project teams
  • Working knowledge of design processes (DFx), new product introduction, and product lifecycle management
  • Computer literate with experience of using ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Assemblies, X-ray detection, vacuum systems, or Electron Microscopy
