Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as an Academic Tutor on our Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme.

The successful candidate will have a clinical psychology qualification and up-to-date knowledge of clinical psychology practice. They will have a minimum of two years' experience of working post-qualification and a proven track record of supporting the training and personal and professional development of Clinical Psychologists.

As an Academic Tutor, you will contribute to the academic curriculum, supporting with academic mentoring of our trainees, teaching, assessment, curriculum developments and research supervision. You will work closely with colleagues and trainees to ensure good synchronisation between the three major strands of training: academic, clinical and research.

We are committed to fostering an inclusive culture which promotes equality and diversity. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, team-orientated and flexible, with a passion for supporting the training and development of our next generation of Clinical Psychologists.

The programme is delivered in partnership with local clinical psychologists in Shropshire and Staffordshire, and we benefit from superb purpose-built facilities in a £30 million Science Centre. We work across the region with several organisations and agencies, including NHS, third sector, social enterprise and charitable organisations.
