Job DescriptionThis part-time vacancy offers an exciting opportunity to join our Newborn Hearing Screening Service. As a hearing screener, you will work closely with our dedicated teams to carry out hearing screens for newborn babies in postnatal maternity wards and outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct hearing screens using specialist equipment and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement best practice guidelines for newborn hearing screening.
- GCSE level A-C or equivalent in English, Maths, and IT as a minimum.
- Health Screener Diploma Level 3 or willingness to complete within 6 months.
- Previous experience of working in a hospital environment and dealing with diverse populations.
- A competitive salary of £28,622 to £30,225 per year pro rata including HCAS.
