**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate hearing screener to join our team in the Newborn Hearing Screening Service. As a part-time employee, you will be responsible for conducting hearing screens for newborn babies in postnatal maternity wards and outpatient clinics across South West London and The Portland Hospital.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a flexible and adaptable approach, with a caring attitude towards patients and their families.

Main Duties:

  • Conducting hearing screens for newborn babies using established protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient data and screening results.
  • Providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for families.

Requirements:

  • A good general education to GCSE level A-C or equivalent in English, Maths, and IT as a minimum.
  • A Health Screener Diploma Level 3 or willingness to complete.
  • Health and Social Care related NVQ at Level 2 or higher.
  • Completed Newborn hearing screening training and obtained an OSCE Certificate or ECA Certificate.
