About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Care Unit team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our most unstable cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the condition of allocated patients closely and raise any concerns immediately
  • Contribute to clinical decision-making and participate in ward rounds to facilitate communication between patients and the medical team
  • Provide all direct nursing care to patients, including personal care and nursing interventions
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure a smooth patient journey from admission to discharge
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 6 months experience in an acute Trust
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Some IT skills
  • Ability to provide all direct nursing care
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience within the specialty (cardiology)
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Basic knowledge of ECG interpretation
  • Basic knowledge of cardiac conditions
