About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Ribbons & Reeves. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, Global Delay, MLD/SLD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Work collaboratively with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and other support staff to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Training or experience in Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
