Business Development Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a business development manager to join a highly regarded company that continues to enjoy rapid and profitable growth. The company custom manufactures and markets a broad range of speciality chemicals and polymerisation products into international markets, requiring detailed and innovative collaboration, strategic thinking, and strong commercial and partnership development to ensure the company remains at the forefront of its chosen sectors.

Reporting to the Business Director – Custom Manufacturing, the appointee will be accountable for business development of the full product range of custom manufacture chemistries along with day-to-day management and development of a small number of key accounts within this ambitious division of the company. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with all areas of the business to ensure common purpose and a co-ordinated approach, so cultural fit, professionalism, and market understanding will all be of paramount importance.

Candidates will demonstrate a track record of business development, strategic thinking, strong teamwork, a high level of integrity, and a desire to build strong relationships both internally and externally. Experienced in the identification, development, and successful closure of new business opportunities, the appointee will demonstrate drive, tenacity, 'presence', and strong financial awareness coupled with exemplary communication, data management & presentation skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing business development strategies to drive revenue and margin growth
  • Managing and developing key accounts to ensure long-term relationships and revenue growth
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure common purpose and a co-ordinated approach
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced business development manager with a strong track record of delivering business growth and development. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of the chemical industry and international markets.
