Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Yockleton Grange Residential Home in Shrewsbury. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.

Responsibilities
  • Support residents with personal care, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times
  • Administer medication as prescribed by medical professionals, maintaining accurate records of administration
  • Maintain accurate records of resident activities, including any notable incidents or concerns
  • Lead a team of care assistants, supporting and motivating them to deliver high-quality care
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care
Requirements
  • A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Experience administering medication and working in a similar role
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
