Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Yockleton Grange Residential Home in Shrewsbury. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Responsibilities- Support residents with personal care, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times
- Administer medication as prescribed by medical professionals, maintaining accurate records of administration
- Maintain accurate records of resident activities, including any notable incidents or concerns
- Lead a team of care assistants, supporting and motivating them to deliver high-quality care
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care
- A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
- Experience administering medication and working in a similar role
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- A competitive salary range of £11.00-£13.30 per hour
