Join Superior Healthcare as a Care Assistant and make a difference in the lives of children and adults with complex care needs. As a Care Assistant, you will work on a long-term basis with one or a small number of clients in the local area, providing personal care and support with daily activities. You will have the opportunity to work on a fixed rota with overtime options and receive comprehensive training and support from our team of Nurses and Field Care Supervisors. Our team members receive a fully paid, comprehensive, week-long, classroom-based training program with practical workshops before being introduced to our clients. This training covers all aspects of the Care Certificate and delves into skills needed to support complex clients, such as tracheostomy management and gastrostomy. You will also have the opportunity to work with clients who require PEG feeding, oral suctioning, tracheostomy care, ventilation, and epilepsy management. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with clinical interventions such as PEG feeds, seizure management, medication administration, oral suctioning, ventilation, and tracheostomy care. You will also be responsible for personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. We are looking for individuals who have previous and recent care experience, involving personal care, and are able to commit to at least two shifts per week. You will also need to have a full right to work within the UK, a full UK driving license with access to a car, and be able to work night shifts.
