Senior Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural designs and projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce practical and cost-effective structural designs in timber, concrete, masonry, and steel.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Have 5 years design experience with a consulting structural engineering practice in the UK or Ireland.
  • Ideal experience in minor civils design.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years UK/Ireland experience.
  • Be a member of an appropriate professional body.
  • Strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
  • Experience of undertaking concrete design to NI/UK & Eurocodes, NI/UK & Irish Building Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Technical client is looking for candidates with strong engineering design experience, particularly in using software such as Tekla Structural Designer, AutoCAD, and addition to technical skills, it is essential that you have good planning, organisation, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as a 'can-do' attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service.
