Year 6 Teacher Vacancy

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Dartford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to groups of children, while also focusing on individual learning targets. You will have the opportunity to develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry, as well as help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to groups of children, promoting teamwork and a conducive learning environment.
  • Focus on individual learning targets, encouraging strengths and improving weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

Our school is a 4-form entry school located in a lovely residential area of Dartford. We pride ourselves on creating a friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms. Our school aspires to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through its supportive pastoral environment.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to commute to Dartford via public transport.
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.
