QA Engineering Specialist

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled QA Engineering Specialist to join our client's core development team based in Birmingham (Hybrid). As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking functional, performance, resilience, and voice quality testing of VoIP/SIP applications and microservices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake functional, performance, resilience, and voice quality testing of VoIP/SIP applications and microservices
  • Build a hybrid test framework for E2E call journeys involving SIP, RTP, HTTP protocol testing with SIPp, Python, Robot Framework, and RPA
  • Review requirements, specifications, technical design documents, and create detailed test plans
  • Develop automation scripts using Python and Robot Framework
  • Conduct API test automation and performance testing with Locust, Blazemeter/Taurus, k6, newman, and jmeter
  • Implement GUI automation with TestCafe, RobotFramework, and Selenium
  • Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines using Ansible and Terraform
  • Administer Linux and Windows systems, including DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and Active Directory
  • Have expertise in Operating Systems like Linux (RHEL, CentOS, OEL), Windows Servers/Workstations, and Telecom Protocols (SIP, RTP)
  • Experience in Telecom Applications (Metaswitch Rhino, Dialogic Media Server, Perimeta SBC) and ITIL Process and Security implementation/System hardening on Telecom Applications and Services
