About the Role

eNL Legal Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our client's team. As a key member of the construction team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Legal Counsel on a wide range of construction projects, contracts, and contentious matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate, draft, and collate construction contracts and similar legal documents.
  • Manage the construction due diligence process in respect of financings.
  • Deal with early stages of construction disputes.
  • Develop key internal relationships.
  • Update other internal lawyers to ensure awareness of all issues that may impact associated legal or transactional work.
  • Oversee external counsel.
  • Awareness and escalation of construction-related risk and reputation issues across the business.
  • Deal with day-to-day construction-related legal issues which may arise.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' PQE, ideally with construction legal experience.
  • A sound proven basis in construction law and building development projects is required.
  • Must be self-motivated and have a proactive commercial problem-solving approach.
  • Must be a team player with a willingness to help others.
  • Flexible, organised, and calm approach to work is essential, with the ability to work under pressure.
