Job Title: IT Strategic Sourcing Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement Department. This role will play a pivotal part in sourcing and implementing service contracts for the delivery of our strategic technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the supply chain sourcing process for a portfolio of procurement projects, ensuring effective delivery of our key technology projects by sourcing from the supply chain and wider markets.
  2. Shape and challenge business requirements utilising market and supplier insight.
  3. Develop and lead sourcing strategy for specific projects as allocated, in line with agreed business objectives.
  4. Identify innovative sourcing strategies that challenge current ways of working and deliver best value.
  5. Project manage and prioritise several sourcing initiatives effectively through agile project delivery and problem-solving skills.
  6. Support the development of best practice across the Procurement lifecycle, ensuring our process is regularly reviewed and updated.
Requirements:
  1. Ability to analyse and present complex commercial/contractual data and concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
  2. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  3. Solid negotiation, influencing and resolution skills.
  4. Outstanding communication skills and customer service ethic, with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  5. Self-starter - resilient and tenacious under pressure, with a willingness to develop skills and experience.
  6. Knowledge of the water industry or category-specific supply chain.
  7. Excellent proven commercial and contractual acumen.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Experience of strategic IT sourcing/tendering in a multi-stakeholder environment and of working within multi-disciplinary teams.
  2. Relevant transferable business and/or supply chain knowledge.
  3. Track record in delivering against stretching targets.
  4. Knowledge and experience of regulated procurement procedures (either UCR or PCR).
  5. Knowledge and experience of NEC suite of contracts.
  6. CIPS or MCIPS qualified; or alternative qualifications in transferable expertise.
  7. Project management experience or qualifications.
