About the Role

The successful candidate will lead the technical team in ensuring compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP, BRC, and other regulatory requirements. They will oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, ensuring that all products meet customer specifications and regulatory guidelines.

In addition, they will manage internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and followed through. The Technical Manager will collaborate with production and R&D teams to optimize processes, improve product quality, and ensure new products meet technical standards. They will also liaise with regulatory bodies and customers on technical issues and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, along with extensive experience in a technical or quality assurance role within the food manufacturing industry. They should possess strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, BRC, GMP, etc.) and excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in quality management systems and Microsoft Office is also required.

What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in a technical or quality assurance role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, BRC, GMP, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems and Microsoft Office.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
