About the Role

The Applications Support Analyst is a key member of our team, responsible for providing top-notch support and maintenance services for our Energy clients' product portfolio. This role ensures that applications are always up-to-date with product roadmaps and aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide level 1 and level 2 application support and maintenance services
  • Installation, configuration, administration, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of application portfolio
  • Engage with 3rd party vendors as part of support and maintenance activities
  • Support for Onshore and offshore business applications
  • Related hardware accessory support and asset management
  • Ensure timely and accurate testing of solutions, patches, and other maintenance activities prior to deployment
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure services are supported
  • Engage with other IS functions to ensure successful deployment of solutions into production
  • Maintain systems documentation, ensuring knowledge base articles and IS guides are up to date
  • Ensure events and demand are dealt with within agreed SLAs
Requirements
  • Experience of Cloud Application services, M365, Azure, SQL, and AD
  • Experience of database technologies such as SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience of application installation and configuration
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of managing the support and testing of applications
  • Strong documentation, process, and organizational skills, with a determined approach to handling day-to-day operational pressure
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and meet agreed deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple issues and changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to liaise with various areas of the business
  • Experience in supporting enterprise applications within the energy and utilities sector (preferred but not essential)
  • ITIL foundation qualification (desired but not essential)
