Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist for Elite Women's Football

We are Comunidadlift, a progressive and determined organization that values excellence in all aspects of our operations. Our Women's Senior Team is one of the most successful in the league, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Physiotherapist to join our team.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Physiotherapist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the medical provision for our Women's Senior Team, ensuring that our players receive the best possible care and support. This role will contribute to the success and achievement of our Women's Senior Team and Academy programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of Injuries:

  • Lead the provision of physiotherapy services to all Women's players, ensuring evidence-based practice is adhered to at all times.
  • Implement evidence-based practice and utilize advanced clinical reasoning skills during the rehabilitation process.
  • Demonstrate effective communication with all MDT staff members across the academy age-groups at all times.
  • Ensure the management of injuries across the Women's and PDP academy squads effectively meets its commitments to the players, coaches, and senior management.

Injury Prevention:

  • Liaise with age-group physios on a daily basis to have input into decisions relating to individual player availability and readiness to train.
  • Work alongside the Academy Sport Science and Athletic Development Department to devise and implement effective injury prevention strategies.
  • Ensure effective delivery of squad pre-activation sessions across all age-groups.

Medical Provision at Matches/Tours:

  • Provide physiotherapy match day cover at all Senior Women's fixtures.
  • Ensure all medical equipment and procedures are regularly reviewed and maintained.

Pre-Signing Medicals/Medical Consultations:

  • Play an active role within the pre-signing medical of all Academy and Senior women's players.
  • Accompany players to medical consultations ensuring optimal care.

Department Management:

  • Share the leading role in MDT meetings.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed and managed.
  • Complete monthly SMART targets focused on service development.

General Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with Club policies and health and safety procedures.
  • To promote the Club's values and embed equality & diversity.

Safeguarding:

  • This role involves working with children and/or vulnerable adults in a Regulated Activity.

Person Specification:

Essential Knowledge:

  • Ability to manage, coordinate, and supervise medical provision.
  • Understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan.
  • Experience as a physiotherapist or sports therapist in an academy or first team setting.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive attitude towards service development.

Essential Experience:

  • Evidence of developing and evaluating physiotherapy programmes for elite footballers.
  • Experience in the provision of physiotherapy to elite athletes.
  • Experience of clinically assessing and rehabilitating athletes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • BSc in Physiotherapy / Sports Therapy / Sports Rehabilitation.
  • Minimum of 3 years membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Full UK driving license and car.
  • Relevant safeguarding training.
