Job Title: Lead Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist to join our team at Comunidadlift. As a key member of our medical department, you will be responsible for providing physiotherapy services to our elite female footballers and academy players.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate medical provision for the Women's first team and academy squads.
  • Implement evidence-based practice and utilize advanced clinical reasoning skills during the rehabilitation process.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team staff members across the academy age-groups.
  • Ensure the management of injuries effectively meets its commitments to players, coaches, and senior management.
Injury Prevention:
  • Liaise with age-group physios to input into decisions relating to individual player availability and readiness to train.
  • Work with the Academy Sport Science and Athletic Development Department to devise and implement effective injury prevention strategies.
  • Deliver squad pre-activation sessions across all age-groups.
Medical Provision at Matches/Tours:
  • Provide physiotherapy match day cover at all Senior Women's fixtures.
  • Review and maintain medical equipment and procedures.
Pre-Signing Medicals/Medical Consultations:
  • Participate in pre-signing medicals of all Academy and Senior women's players.
  • Accompany players to medical consultations ensuring optimal care.
Department Management:
  • Share leading role in MDT meetings.
  • Complete administrative tasks and manage departmental responsibilities.
  • Set and achieve monthly SMART targets focused on service development.
Person Specification:
  • Ability to manage, coordinate, and supervise medical provision.
  • Understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan.
  • Experience as a physiotherapist or sports therapist in an academy or first team setting.

Essential Qualifications:

  • BSc in Physiotherapy / Sports Therapy / Sports Rehabilitation.
  • Minimum of 3 years membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Full UK driving license and car.
  • Relevant safeguarding training.
