Recycling Program Manager

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Waste Services Team as a Recycling Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in promoting waste reduction and recycling initiatives within the local community.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of waste management principles, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including residents, schools, and businesses.

Job DescriptionAs a Recycling Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of waste minimisation strategies, promoting recycling initiatives, and providing education and support to residents, schools, and businesses.
You will work closely with collection crews to gather data on service performance, monitor compliance, and assist in meeting national objectives and targets.
In addition, you will carry out waste compositions on all service users as required, analyse data, and provide performance reports to support the management team.
Your role will also involve promoting recycling and waste minimisation services throughout the Local Authority area and advising residents, schools, and businesses on how to recycle and minimise waste.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement waste minimisation strategies
- Promote recycling initiatives and provide education and support to residents, schools, and businesses
- Collaborate with collection crews to gather data on service performance
- Monitor compliance and contribute to meeting national objectives and targets
- Conduct waste compositions on all service users as required
- Analyse data and present performance reports to support the management team
To be successful in this role, you will need:

The salary for this role is approximately £28,785 per annum, plus benefits.
