Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Northampton, providing expert care in acute surgical wards.


About the Role


This is a part-time or full-time opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with experience in working in acute surgical and orthopaedic wards. The successful candidate will work closely with the ward team to provide high-quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.


Key Responsibilities



  • Work independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients in acute surgical and orthopaedic wards.
  • Assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans to promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient progress and outcomes.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will have:


Essential Qualifications



  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Postgraduate experience in acute surgical and orthopaedic settings.

Desirable Skills



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic patient record systems.

Compensation and Benefits
