About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at St Andrew's Healthcare. As a senior clinician, you will be responsible for leading the therapy provided on the ward and supervising junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the therapy provided on the ward and supervise junior staff
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programs for patients with mental health conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to promote patient safety
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff
  • Participate in continuing professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices in occupational therapy
Requirements
  • Post-registration clinical expertise with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Experience working in a secure setting and with adult mental health patients
  • Specialist training in occupational therapy and ongoing CPD
  • Ability to apply and promote OT skills, including carrying out specialized occupational assessments and facilitating therapeutic interventions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and make reasoned judgments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
