SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant alternative provision school in Worcester. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to staff and parents
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to develop effective strategies
Requirements:
  • Previous UK school experience is essential
  • Experience with the National Curriculum, Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Reception, and EYFS
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

This is a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role, working with children with autism, moderate learning difficulties, and demand avoidance. The role will involve working with a child in Year 5 in the mornings and a child in Year 7 in the afternoons.
