SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an alternative provision school in Worcester. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with special educational needs in a nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will work with a child in Year 5 in the mornings and a child in Year 7 in the afternoons. Both pupils have autism and moderate learning difficulties, and require support with demand avoidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to staff and parents
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to develop effective strategies
Requirements:
  • Previous UK school experience is essential
  • Experience with the National Curriculum, Key Stages, and SEN policies
  • Ability to work with children with autism and moderate learning difficulties
