About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school for students with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing individualized support to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to students
  • Offer general classroom support, including managing behavior and monitoring students during break times and meal times
  • Prepare activities and materials for lessons, including printing and photocopying
  • Provide emotional support to students with Special Educational Needs
About You
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school
  • Knowledge of SEND, including learning and behavioral needs
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and with empathy
  • Good initiative and a caring, patient, and dedicated approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
