Rheumatology Specialist Opportunity

NHS Highland is seeking a highly skilled Rheumatology Specialist to join our team at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our rheumatology service.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term position for 24 months, working 10 hours per week. You will be part of a dynamic team that provides comprehensive care to patients with rheumatic diseases. Our service is known for its strong multi-disciplinary structure, with extensive physiotherapy input and a team of rheumatology specialist nurses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, including joint injections and ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Contribute to the development of our rheumatology service, including clinical, educational, and research opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Participate in the management of repeat biologics and methotrexate prescriptions
