Job Title: Building Maintenance Operative

FM Conway is currently recruiting for a skilled Building Maintenance Operative to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. As our Building Maintenance Operative, you will conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, ensuring functionality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform minor repairs on fixtures, equipment, doors, windows, carpentry, and conduct painting if needed.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, identify potential hazards, and report safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, update maintenance logs, and ensure documentation of completed tasks.
  • Assist in larger renovation projects or facilities improvements and work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure projects are carried out in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of building systems, equipment, and tools.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing property or maintenance issues.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment.
  • Full UK driving license.
