Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Capital Programme Engineer to join our team at ScottishPower. As a Capital Programme Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of capital projects and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical network.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement asset strategies to maintain network resilience and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Manage a team of project managers, coordinators, and support staff to deliver district outputs in line with financial, regulatory, and business plan objectives.
  • Provide input to district strategic planning and budgeting processes and contribute to performance reviews.
  • Lead the integration of Operational Excellence principles in all undertakings and ensure contractors deliver to required standards.

Requirements

  • Engineering or professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management and delivery, ideally including planned and reactive works.
  • Experience and understanding of network design and operation, safety rules, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Computer literacy and current UK driving license.
