About the Role
This Civil Engineering Bid Specialist position requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in cost estimation and bid preparation. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Price civil engineering activities, including earthworks, drainage, ducting, and paving, from first principles;
- Compile comprehensive net cost estimates for projects, including preliminary items;
- Liaise with suppliers and prepare enquiries;
- Identify and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong knowledge of construction and civil engineering practices;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Location
This role is based in the UK and requires travel to client sites.
