We are seeking a highly skilled Cadastral Surveyor to join our team at Toitù Te Whenua, the New Zealand Government's land information agency. As a Cadastral Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that surveys are integrated into the cadastre in accordance with regulatory standards.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about surveying and land information. As a Cadastral Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical survey advice to LINZ staff
- Supporting the development of the Survey and Title Compliance Strategy
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure that surveys meet regulatory standards
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Surveying or equivalent and be a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, under the Cadastral Survey Act 2002
- Considerable practical surveying experience
- Knowledge of survey records, spatial and geodetic systems and processes, including use of Landonline
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong relationship building skills and customer focus
