Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to continuously grow customer service excellence and productivity effectiveness.
- Lead and engage teams to implement Active Leadership, driving growth and retention of key accounts.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for added value to customers, ensuring retention and growth of key accounts.
- Manage and develop existing customer relationships, ensuring commitment and leveraging opportunities for growth.
- Implement new key accounts, ensuring successful outcomes for customers and the company.
- Lead/participate in presentations to existing and potential customers, showcasing expertise and building relationships.
- Manage Customs Compliance procedures and documentation, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Maximize Gross Profit through Service Selection, optimizing logistics and customer satisfaction.
- Manage Carriers and Handling Agents, resolving exceptions and discrepancies.
- Maintain DfT and CAA compliance, ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (Milestones, Station Metric and GCCS), driving continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program, driving innovation and excellence.
- Manage Weekly Team briefing sessions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Complete and manage all statutory and mandatory training, ensuring compliance and expertise.
Requirements:
- Five or more years' leadership experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry.
- Experience of Aviation Security & HMRC procedures.
- Commercial awareness and clear, concise communication skills (written and spoken).
- Processes Management and ability to lead a culture of continuous improvement.
- Inter-personal skills - influencing, communication, relationship management, cultural awareness, and ability to work across teams.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
