About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at AJ Bell Management Limited, focused on platform technology development in the Financial Services sector.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of business processes in financial services, strong analytical skills, and proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Requirements Management
    • Identify and engage key stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.
    • Document and analyse business needs, processes, and requirements, translating them into clear and comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Align business requirements with strategic objectives, ensuring they meet organisational goals.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Facilitate effective communication between business units and development teams, ensuring all parties have a shared understanding of requirements and priorities.
    • Provide insights on budgeting and costing implications of proposed solutions, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Business Impact Analysis
    • Assess the business impact versus operational impact of proposed changes, considering implications on existing processes and systems.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management
    • Work with the in-house procurement team to ensure 3rd parties and vendors align with business needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Agile Methodologies
    • Collaborate closely with in-house development teams, ensuring a smooth transition from requirements to implementation, adhering to Agile practices, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Technology and Innovation
    • Evaluate and introduce new services and technologies that enhance platform capabilities and meet evolving business requirements.
  • Subject Matter Expertise
    • Leverage a strong background in the financial sector to provide subject matter expertise and insight into industry best practices.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience/degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services or equivalent sector, with a proven track record of successful project deliveries.
  • Strong understanding of Agile practices, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in business process modelling and requirements documentation tools (e.g., BPMN, Confluence, JIRA, Git-lab).
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, procurement, and budgeting within a technology-driven environment.
